Highest peaks of the world - Lomnicky Peak

Long been considered the highest peak of the Tatras, even ranked among the highest peaks of the world. First recorded output in 1793 by Robert Townson. A well-known western wall climbing trail, called Hokejka. Possible exit from Lomnický saddle only with mountain guide. The highest meteorological station in Slovakia, workplaces for cosmic radiation research and coronary station are at the top of the shield. 

 From 1940, a cable car from Tatranska Lomnica, with an intermediate station at Skalnate Pleso, leads to the top.
